Holidays are the most awaited event in the Philippines. In fact, when September comes Filipino people start to decorate different kinds of decorations as a sign for Christ’s birthday celebration. Usually to prepare for the celebration they mostly have this “parol” hang on their homes. Christmas for Filipino people is a very special event since most of them are devoted to Jesus Christ.

Once you spend your Christmas in the Philippines you will have to expect a lot of activities. The most common cultural activity you will notice is the Christmas lanterns. You can see this usually on their windows with so much designs and styles. Another cultural activity they have is the midnight and dawn mass. There are nine days to complete the ritual. Once they completed it they believe that their wishes and dreams will come true that is why they like to attend the mass starting December 16 to 24. After the mass you will then see the people outside selling Filipino delicacies made by them. Filipino people will celebrate Christmas with their family together. And they do exchanging gifts with their neighbors.

Fireworks are also part of the Philippine Christmas celebration. Even though they don’t have enough money for it still they like to buy one for Christmas and for new years.
