From one Monday to another, I have been travelling and lost in the world of birds ..But given a chance this Monday, I would like to be here - a remote village near Halebeedu looking for some ancient temples which are in ruins..

Cagayan de Oro White Water Rafting

White water rafting in the Philippines is one of the tourist spots found particularly in Cagayan De Oro City. Because the Philippines had beautiful places and natural resources, the government strives to make it more attractive since many people from different countries want to visit the place.

Cagayan de Oro  is one of the most progressive locations in Mindanao. Visiting here is extremely adventurous seeing as there are lots of bars, malls, clubs and entertaining restaurants with complete accommodations and services. Although the place has a small area, people continue to visit or even live here because of what they have.

Tourist people majority visit here when Kagay-an Festival celebration comes. The August month is the entire days for the celebration of the festival. The traditional way that people do with this month is by their customs and traditions which is the Manobo tribes and much more. They have historical places that you don’t have to miss. The San Agustin Cathedral church was built way back in Spaniards time. This is one of the oldest churches all over the world. And people mostly are visiting here every Sunday.

Cagayan de Oro are known to be as one of the visited locations here in Philippines because of their attractions most especially the white water rafting activity. Each tourist group love to try with this agenda since the feeling of thrilling, exhilarating, exciting, and relaxing are surely experience by each of you.

The Madras University in the background..Yes the beach is dirty, but as I went walking, I saw that the rubbish was being sucked out by a machine..However it would have helped if people are more conscious when they litter the place

Spotted a pair of woolly necked storks in Goa recently when we went on the boat safari. Although I had seen them earlier in Kabini, this was the first time I was seeing them this close 

Batanes Travel Destinations

One of the best places to visit in Philippines is Batanes. The place offer attractive and beautiful vacation  destinations. It is known to be as the smallest province in the archipelago. Although this is a small province it contributes a lot in the Philippines because of the resources they have. The province has a field that composes of rice and other crops. The tourist that confuses and loves by people is the houses made of stones. As a matter of fact they have these stone houses for shelters.

Most tourist people spend their travel vacation here in Batanes since the province is surrounded by water. The trip going there from manila is not exceeding two hours. That means you can easily go there anytime you want. Because Batanes travel destinations is listed from tourist guides the province government surely  providing so much tourist spots that they will always cherish by people planning to visit here.

This destination has many natural resources that made the province producing cool and fresh air. It is a way of welcoming their visitors also. Batanes is a satisfying place even though it doesn’t have shopping malls, luxury hotels and bars. People are still wanted to visit here even the lacking mentioned.

I was at Sira lake yesterday and was mesmerized by the clear blue of the waters . Bordered by an old fort built by the Nayaks, which is in ruins today, Sira was once a province of the Mughal dynasty and the town was its capital.

Birding in Goa - Chestnut tailed starling

We were birding in Goa, when I saw a pair of chestnut tailed starling on a tree stump. This particular bird was looking down at the other, perched on a lower stump when I took the picture..loved its expression though.

We went on a three hour boat safari on the Zuari to look for some birds and found more than 30 species of birds . It is a great place to spot the five varieties of kingfishers and we were lucky to see at least three of them closely.

We were waiting for some foreign tourists to join us on the boat safari on the Zuari to see some wildlife. The placid waters, the fog, a hint of dawn and the morning lethargy are what struck me about this view..If only time stood still..

Birding in Goa - Meet the state bird of Goa

As an amateur birder, I enjoy sighting variety of birds and listening to their calls . I do learn to id them, but sometimes just watching  their behaviour is enough to make me lose sense of time . I am no bird photographer nor am I am expert, but my travels have taken me to several birding destinations like this trip to South Goa, which is where I saw this beautiful bird.

The newest cruise line is the Disney cruise ship. Launches the new cruise line 2011 was a very successful celebration with a blasts of fireworks. There are two ships that is one of the most awaited cruises ever. Disney cruise line is a very elegant ship that can handle 4,000 passengers. The Disney dream is what I’m talking  about. This is the largest cruise line for this year. It composed of “virtual portholes” that has inside cabins with live video from the outside of the ship. The cruise line offers customer satisfying vacation for a year or a month.

The other cruise ship is the Oceania cruises. It can manage 1, 250 passengers for a single trip. The services offers are very entertaining as well as the activities provided. Pearl Seas cruises pearl mist is another ship that can handle 210 passengers. This is supposed to launch last 2010. Because of some delayed constructions pearl seas was now under constructions and probably in service this July 2011.
