DAVAO CITY, the largest island in Mindanao province and a gateway to the BIMP-EAGA (Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East Asia Growth Area). Davao City is a typhoon free area, it has a fair weather all year round which is perfect for travel destination. Every year the city celebrates "Kadayawan Festival". The name derives from "Madayaw" and "dayaw" which means valuable, good, beautiful and superior.
